We presently use
UPS and
Fed-Ex
for all of our international shipments. A method of shipment
and shipper's account number are preferred, however, if no
shipping preference is declared, we default to UPS Worldwide
Expedited.
Please
note: The shipping option
you select affects only the
travel time
after your order
leaves our shipping department. It does
not affect the time it takes us
to process your order.
You may want to
follow these steps to assist in timely delivery of your
international shipments:
Make sure
you correctly complete all necessary forms required via the
service you've selected. These include a signed
International Air Waybill (IAWB), the primary shipping
document for most international shipments.
-
Other
documents you need vary by shipment, and may include the
Commercial Invoice and Shipper's Export Declaration.
For assistance on common forms that you may need, check
the international document assistance section of the
carrier you have chosen where you can get help filling
them out online.
-
Check restrictions
by visiting the international shipment section of the
web site of the carrier you have chosen.
-
You can fill out the
International Airway Bill online using the online
International Ship Manager for the carrier you have
chosen.
Make sure all information
is consistent on the IAWB, Commercial Invoice and any
other required documents. Discrepancies can cause delays in
delivery. Be specific and
consistent in your content descriptions on the IAWB, Commercial Invoice and other required documents.
List each commodity separately and provide a detailed and
accurate description of each item, including
identifiable markings such as model numbers and serial
numbers. Make sure the Declared
Value for Customs you enter reflects an accurate value.
This value, along with the description of the goods, is used
to determine duties and taxes. Include telephone, telex
or fax numbers for both sender and consignee.
Always include the
recipient's phone number and fax number, this is in case
the carrier or Customs needs to request further information
from the recipient which can avoid delays in delivery of the
shipment.
Make sure you legibly
print the commodity's country of origin/manufacture. The
country of origin/manufacture is where your commodity was
manufactured. If you still
have questions, or require further assistance, please do not
hesitate to contact our
customer service department. |
